We went to men's competition in Bobbahn Altenberg on Saturday, December 2nd, which took place as part of the worldcup weekend. Knowing luge and bobsleigh only from TV, I was curious to see it in real. And: It was quite amazing. There were much more possibilities to see the race than I expected. Always, of course, very short, but also very close. It really is something completely different and in any case very interesting. On top we could enjoy the competition with this years first snow! However, it was sad to see the little audience. But it is not a big surprise as I never have seen any advertisements in Dresden, the biggest city nearby. And it would be much more attractive to have the center of the competition still in the final curve how it originally was built. Now it is at the end of the slow-down hill where the people are watching it on a big screen without really seeing something in real.
